One Cube Light Box, Endless Possibilities: How UNIQCUBE Clients Made It Their Own
Music and events
A cube light box sounds by itself very self-explanatory: it is a cube, it lights up, job done. Except… not exactly. In simple terms, our cube is a lightweight illuminated display that can be customised with logos, artwork, photos or text and used for branding, events, signage or decoration. So by adding a logo, a bit out of this world artwork, a few words, sayings or an unexpected colour combination, and suddenly the same cube has a new unlocked personality.
One can look clean and professional, a different one can feel more like a piece of art, and a whole group of them together can turn into a full installation. The location is a big player here too. A cube next to a DJ booth creates a very different vibe from one hanging in an exhibition or glowing quietly in a creative space.
That is where the fun part creeps in. Our clients all started with the same basic shape but took it in completely different directions. You could say they really thought outside the box while designing the box.
Here in this post, we are looking at a few of UNIQCUBE clients who made their cubes their own through different kinds of graphics, colours, messages and placements.

What Can You Do With A Cube Light Box?
The design is the obvious place to start. A cube light box can feature a simple logo, colourful illustrations, photographs, patterns, text or a mix of a bit of everything. It can blend into the space or become the first thing people notice. There are no strict rules here – the cube may stay square, but the idea for sure does not have to.
And then the light gets involved. It can make colours feel brighter, bring out small details and help the graphics to stand out. Basically, good lighting does what it always does: makes everything look a little better, especially the cubes.
Where the cube is placed can completely change its role. Next to a DJ booth, it becomes part of the artist or event branding. In an exhibition, it can help tell a story. Hanging from the ceiling, it becomes part of the space itself. Put several cubes together, and they can create something much bigger than a single light.
So, while the shape stays the same, the result depends on the design, lighting and location. It is all about finding the right angle – cube pun fully intended.
How Our Clients Made the Cube Their Own
Pour Amis: A Cube Light Box Joins the DJ Booth
Okay, enough about the theory. Let’s have a look at what our clients did with their cubes. These cube light box examples all started with the same shape, but each one ended up with a very different personality.
For example, at a Pour Amis electronic music event, the cube featured the event’s bold white logo on a deep red background. Surrounded by warm red lighting, the cube light box looks like it’s been tailored for a DJ booth and adds even more energy to the setup. It did not feel like separate branding was placed there afterwards. It looked like part of the party from the beginning.
The design is simple, but definitely not quiet. The large logo does all the talking, and honestly, it has plenty to say. No reason to invite seventeen fonts to the same party.

LOA Festival: A Small Cube With a Loud Message
LOA Festival took a similar idea in a slightly different direction. Instead of using only a logo, its cube also carries a message that is connected to the festival: “Dance, Unite, Love.” LOA, short for Luxembourg Open Air, is an electronic music festival built around music, energy and bringing people together, so the words are a natural part of the event.
The clean white cube makes a strong contrast with the raw, industrial surroundings and the darkened DJ setup. It works as a small reminder of what the festival is about. That is quite a lot of responsibility for one cube, but it seems to be handling the pressure well. No cracks spotted.

The Smile: Album Artwork Gets a Serious Glow-Up
And then there was the cube light box created for the official promotion of Wall of Eyes, the second album by The Smile. A rock group featuring Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood alongside drummer Tom Skinner.
The artwork is packed with bold lines and bright colours. It is difficult not to stare at, which feels fair considering it is covered in eyes and seems to be sneaking a look right back.
The fun part is how much it changes with the lighting. In its original yellow, blue and red tones, it looks bright and dreamlike. Switch to red, pink or purple, and the same cube light box becomes darker, bolder and goes fully psychedelic.
It brings the visual world of Wall of Eyes to life and turns the album artwork into something glowing and impossible to miss. Basically, it is an album cover that went 3D and finally got the dramatic lighting strike it deserved.

DJ Caino: A Cube Light Box That Does the Networking
We, too, have artists use the cube in more personal and practical ways. When we spoke to DJ Caino, he said that his cube light box was used to brighten up the DJ booths he plays in. He had followed UNIQCUBE for a long time, had seen the quality of the cubes and was basically just waiting to get one of his own.
For the design, Caino used his DJ logo, giving him more presence behind the decks and making the booth feel like part of his own setup. He especially likes the changing colours, which blend in with the nightclub lighting and add even more energy to the space. The reaction has been pretty clear too: people keep asking him where he got it. So, while Caino handles the music, the cube handles the networking.

ELIF: Marginalia’s New Rent-Free Studio Roommate
At the same time, ELIF took a different approach and created her cube for Marginalia, the record label she founded. She does not remember exactly how the original idea came about, but she knew she liked the cube and wanted to use the label’s colourful logo for its design. Very simple explanation. Sometimes you simply see something cool and think, “Yep, I want that.”
The cube currently lives in her studio, where it gives Marginalia a physical presence beyond screens. ELIF told us that people like it, it represents the label well, and it is easy to carry around. That means it can also travel to other spaces without turning the trip into an unexpected workout. Meaning gym membership is still needed. And currently, she is now thinking about getting a new one, which suggests that one cube may not be enough once the first one moves in.
Together, these examples show how much can happen within one simple shape. A cube can carry a logo, share a message, support an artist or become a small piece of illuminated art. The cube stays square, but the ideas really do not have to.

How to Make a Cube Light Box Your Own
So, how do you make a cube light box feel like it actually belongs in its own location? Start with graphics that will suit your brand, event or the atmosphere you are aiming for. That could be a classic logo, a bold message, detailed artwork or a lot of everything. This is where you can have a bit of fun, because your ideas do not need to behave.
A good recommendation is a plan for the logo placement. People may see the cube from different angles, so each side would need a good thought process rather than added at the last minute.
Colours can also create a different vibe once the light comes on. Bright shades may become more intense, while darker graphics can create a moodier effect. As the Wall of Eyes cube showed us, one lighting change can send the whole design into another dimension.
Location matters as well, as a cube beside a DJ booth has a different job from one in a studio, shop or exhibition. Decide whether it needs to attract attention, share a message, support the atmosphere or simply make an empty corner look less lonely.
And when you feel like it’s time for something new, interchangeable skins let you update the graphics for another campaign, event or season. The same cube light box gets a quick outfit change – no changing room required.
Ready to Make It Yours?
The best cube designs do not follow one exact formula. The most important thing is what feels right for your brand. Maybe you already have a logo that is ready to fire the place up, or maybe your idea is still living somewhere between a rough sketch and “trust me, it will look cool.”
Either way, UNIQCUBE can turn that idea into a cube light box that feels completely yours. Pick the graphics, choose the mood and let the light take care of the glow-up.
